Difference between Do-Follow and No-Follow

Do follow links

  • Do follow links allow both the search engines and the users to reach the site it points to.
  • It passes the link juice and the page rank.
  • Syntax:

<a href=”http://www.example.com/”>text</a> or  <a href=”http://www.example.com/” rel=”dofollow”>text</a>

  • This type of links helps in gaining visitor as well as ranking on SERP.

No follow links

  • No follow link allows only the users to follow the link and not the search engines.
  • It does not pass the link juice and the page rank.
  • Syntax:

<a href=”http://www.example.com/” rel=”nofollow”>text</a>

  • This type of links does not help in search engine ranking, but might help fetching visitors to the site
